Biography
WORCESTER -- Gary N. Luboda, 61, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus after an illness. Born in Worcester, Gary was the son of Edward and Irene "Dolly" (Coven) Luboda and lived many years in Leicester until moving to Worcester.
His wife, Jayn (Berkowitz) Luboda died in 2002. He leaves two sons, Joshua Luboda of Paxton and Jacob Luboda of Worcester; a daughter, Jillian Luboda of Paxton; a brother, David Luboda of Sterling; a granddaughter, Xena Rose; and many cousins.
Gary graduated from Leicester High School and worked 18 years as a machinist specializing in medical diagnostics at FLEXcon in Spencer. He later worked at Ragsdale Chevrolet, Baker Motors and most recently, Adesa Auctions in Framingham until his recent illness.
He was very knowledgeable regarding the makes and models of cars and was a founding member of the Massachusetts Firebird Club. He had a discernible palate and was an adventurous eater. He could tell you where to eat at various diners throughout New England. Other interests included gardening and attended race car events. Gary was considered a hard worker and provider for his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father,grandfather and friend.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2 PM ON THURSDAY, MARCH 26, AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 280 MAY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL OF HOLDEN. Burial will follow at B'Nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester. Memorial observance will be announced at the time of the funeral service. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
