Gary Francis Flynn

WEST BOYLSTON - Gary Francis Flynn born on April 9, 1948, in Amesbury, MA passed away on September 20, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. After spending his childhood in Amesbury, he met his wife of 52 years Jeannette (Doyon) Flynn and began to build an impactful community-based life in West Boylston, MA.

Gary’s passion for his town was evident with his involvement on the boards of the Parks Department and Water Department where he advocated for the entirety of West Boylston residents. Gary was often found at Jerry’s Hardware spending his days chatting with customers and shooting the shit. Jerry’s was the perfect place for Gary to showcase his MacGyver-like ability to problem solve and find a solution to an unknown need like his all-terrain crutch adaptation.

Gary will be tremendously missed by so many people, but has left an unforgettable legacy of kindness, helpfulness, compassion, loyalty, witty jokes, a fervent desire to better his community, the clearest pool of water, and well-kept lawns.

Gary leaves behind his wife Jeannette, son Shaun and wife Lisa, son Jamie, and grandchildren Johnathan, Caitlin, and Jack as well as SO many extended friends and families.
