HOLDEN - Dori F. (Morgan) Houston, 48, beloved mother, daughter, companion and friend died peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Francis and Nancy (Emmons) Morgan and lived in Spencer before moving to Holden nine years ago.
Dori is survived by her parents; her daughter, Taylor Houston of Spencer; her sons, Nolan and Derek Houston of Holden and their father, Kristian Houston of Spencer; her brother, Dennis Morgan and his wife, Louise of Worcester; her sisters, Diane Charest and Debra Murphy and her husband, Kevin of Worcester; and the love of her life, Kevin Larson and his son, Wesley of Holden; her many nieces and nephews, close friends and her beloved cat, Griswold.
Dori graduated from North High School and went on to earn her Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. She started her career working for several area law firms and spent the last 12 years at the Law Office of Kevin C. Larson in Holden. Dori's greatest passion in life was being a mother. Nothing gave her more joy than attending one of Taylor, Nolan, Derek, or Wesley's games or events and cheering them on. She was a big Boston sports fan and loved to travel to Maine, Cape Cod and New York City. She also loved spending time at her family's summer cottage on Comet Pond and hosting parties with her many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 22 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 23 at Saint John's Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be private.
