STERLING – Charles E. DeFelice, 55, beloved husband of Deborah A. (Keup) DeFelice, passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Known to his family and close friends as “Chuck, or Charlie” he was born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Carmen and Audrey (Place) DeFelice. He relocated to Marlborough MA in 2007, eventually moving to Sterling with his wife Deborah to create their forever home. Charles was never far from his “to do” list and took great satisfaction crossing projects off the list. He enjoyed a long career as a chef at Bullfinchs Restaurant in Sudbury MA. In his spare time he could often be found gathering with family and friends. He enjoyed sitting by the backyard fire pit and spending time in his jam room covering hits by his favorite band Aerosmith.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Deborah DeFelice of Sterling; his three sons, Taylor DeFelice, Cameron DeFelice and Colby DeFelice, all of Maine; his step-son, Jeffrey Brooks of Barre; his two step-daughters, Nicole Maurice of Lincoln, VT and Brianna Williams of Sterling; his two brothers, Thomas DeFelice and Robert DeFelice (Sheila), all of Albany, NY; his in-laws, Bill and Nancy Keup of Margate, FL; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Carmen DeFelice, and sisters-in-law, Carol and Dawn DeFelice.
A graveside service will be held on May 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
