WORCESTER – Marie A. (LaCava) Poole, 59, of Alvarado Avenue, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 28, 2009. She leaves two sons, Richard E. Poole and his wife Corrina of Charlton and Kevin T. Poole of Westboro; a daughter, Lynn S. LaCava of Worcester; a sister, Jane Tighe of Worcester; four grandchildren, Kayla, Grant, Byron and Natalie; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Marion (Latino) LaCava, and lived most of her life in Worcester with eight years in Millbury.
Marie was a bartender at Liberty Heights in Millbury for several years and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, riding motorcycles and trips to the casino.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 29th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th, in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 24 Mullbury Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Walk to Cure Cancer, 333 South Street, RM: 13E-495, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
